How to play the Michigan Fantasy 5 Numbers?

Fantasy 5 players in Michigan can purchase tickets for $1 and can either enter online or offline. Players must select five numbers from 1 to 39 and can either choose their own numbers or opt for a random ‘Easy Pick’ option. It is possible to play up to 60 consecutive draws.

For an additional $1 per line, players can enter into Double Play draws, a second set of winning numbers announced straight after the main game, which give players the chance to win even more great prizes.

EZmatch is also available for an extra $1 for players who play the Fantasy 5. A series of random numbers will be printed on the ticket, next to a prize amount. If any of these EZmatch numbers match the Fantasy 5 numbers selected by the participant, they win the associated prize.

Prizes of $600 and below:

Prizes up to $600 will be deposited directly into a players Michigan Lottery account. Players may withdraw winnings from their account at any time. The minimum withdrawal amount is $10.

Prizes of greater than $600, and up to and including $50,000:

If a player wins a prize of greater than $600 and up to and including $50,000, they will be required to submit an online claim to process their winnings.

Log in to their account at www.michiganlottery.com.

Go to “My Account” and select “Tax Reported Prizes.”

Follow the instructions on the screen to claim a prize.

Players must be prepared to provide copies of their Social Security card and valid government-issued photo ID (typically driver’s license or state ID). Once the claim has been submitted and approved, the prize will be deposited directly into the players Michigan Lottery account.

Prizes of $50,001 and more:

If you win a prize of $50,001 or more, you will need to submit an online claim and visit Lottery headquarters, located at 101 E. Before visiting the Lottery headquarters, winners should wait to receive an email from the Michigan Lottery instructing them to call Lottery Public Relations.

In-store purchases

Prize requests for in-store purchases must be accompanied by the original winning ticket. The ticket must pass all validation and security tests of the Bureau and be confirmed by the Bureau as valid prior to issuance of any prize.

Prizes of $600 and below

Cash prizes up to $600 may be claimed at any Michigan Lottery retailer. Please note - Some stores have strict policies regarding the amount of cash available to their employees, so there is a possibility a store may be unable to redeem a prize-winning ticket.

Prizes of greater than $600

When claiming any prize of greater than $600, winners must visit a Lottery Regional office, Bank Claim Center, or a participating Secretary of State branch. In addition, winners must present the original winning ticket and all required identification.

Prizes of up to and including $50,000

If a player wins a cash prize of up to and including $50,000, they may claim the prize at any Lottery regional office between 8:00AM and 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The Michigan Lottery began when the Green Ticket game started on November 13, 1972. On February 22, 1973 - Hermus Millsaps of Taylor, Michigan won the very first $1 million prize.

On October 7, 1975, the first instant game ticket was purchased.

On June 6, 1977 terminal-based games commenced, when the Daily 3 game was introduced.

On August 13, 1984 the first "Michigan Lotto" game was introduced.
